How to Play Football Squares
Squares is the classic football pool, made simple and fair. Grab squares on a 10×10 grid, the row & column numbers reveal once the board fills, and every quarter the last digit of each team’s score picks the winning square. Here’s everything you need to know.

How it works
Claim your squares
Pick a game and an entry size — every game runs a $5, $10 and $20 board. Tap any open squares on the 10×10 grid and enter; your balance is charged right away. Each square is one entry, and you can grab as many as you like.
Numbers drop when the board fills
Once all 100 squares are taken, the digits 0–9 are randomly assigned to each row and column — after squares are claimed, so nobody can game it. The away team runs along the top, the home team down the side. Once set, the numbers never change.
Win every quarter
At the end of each period — 1st Quarter, Halftime, 3rd Quarter, and Final Score — take the last digit of each team’s score. The away digit picks the column, the home digit picks the row, and the square where they meet wins that period. One square can win multiple periods.
What counts as the “Final Score”
The Final Score is the score when the game is actually over — not the end of the 4th quarter. If the game goes to overtime, the 4th-quarter number is irrelevant — the final period is decided by the score at the end of overtime. With no overtime, it’s simply the score at the end of regulation.
Payouts & refunds
90% of every board’s pool is paid out to winners, split evenly across the four periods (Tavls keeps 10%). If a board doesn’t fill up by kickoff, it’s cancelled and every entry is fully refunded.

Steelers 24 · Falcons 20 → Steelers’ last digit 4 picks the column, Falcons’ last digit 0 picks the row. The highlighted square wins this period.
